The Indigenous and Hispanic peoples of beautiful, lush and temperate mountains of Western Panama are open and receptive to Americans. The “Expat” North American and European population of the Highlands ranges from ten to twenty percent, depending on community. Imagine a town where you are welcomed, where the air is crisp, the water is clean and your staff and volunteers can maintain their health with ease…

Advanced health care practitioners have developed a special relationship with the peoples of Central America. Indigenous tribes-people are ready and willing recipients of the Good News about Natural Health, eager to learn more and grow. Women and children in these groups are particularly eager for instruction and direction and health clinics can offer badly needed services for children and adults alike.

Panama is a natural center for Advanced “Alternative” Health Care. It is in an area that stretches from Mexico to Columbia. A modern communications and transportation hub, with its Canal and access to the world, Panama is a global center of commerce, transportation and innovation.

Volcan is the perfect base for Health Care, educational and charitable activities because of its climate, location and mixed population. The Foundation for Natural Solutions selected Volcan, located in the temperate, scenic Highlands of northwest Panama with its year-round growing season after years of careful research around the world. Their conclusion was that, quite literally, there was no more optimal location in the world for a teaching and service project than Volcan (Chiriqui Province), a quaint farm and tourist town nestled under the peak of Central America’s tallest mountain, 11,000 foot-high Volcan Baru.

The Center sits on approximately two acres, just two blocks off the Via Volcan, the main road into and out of Volcan, less than an hour from the Pacific Ocean or a bit more to the Caribbean Sea.

Center BuildingA lovely thatch roof, open-air dining patio boasts a stunning view of Volcan Baru’s craggy peaks. Remote but not isolated, the Center is only two blocks from the Via Volcan, a beautifully paved and maintained modern road which leads directly to David, the provincial capital and Airport. Since David is on the Pacific Ocean, nearby beaches are within easy reach. A little further up the mountains, stunning National Parks and world-class features (such as one of the world’s greatest orchid farms) are within easy reach.
