Another State About to Abrogate Religious Conscientious Objection

**NEW JERSEY URGENT ACTION ALERT**

UPDATE NOTE: The Bill failed to pass the State Senate on Monday, January 13th by one vote; the Bill previously was “pulled” from the Senate floor on 16 December 2019 as there were not enough votes to adopt it. After the failure to pass on January 13th a new version of the Bill has been introduced for the new Session of the Legislature. Continued pressure is needed to kill this vicious Bill permanently!

7 December 2019 it was unveiled that Health Freedom Advocates in New Jersey do in fact have the votes to stop senate bill 2173 in committee on Thursday. However, as many of us already know, NJ Senate “leader” Senator Sweeney will be removing all seated Democrats from the Senate Health Committee who are confirmed NO votes, and replacing them with Democrat Senators who will vote YES to this bill. Yes, that’s right– Sweeney, is moving legislators like pawns to manipulate a voting outcome in committee.

URGENT that you contact your State Senators and express to them that we the people of NJ are watching and we SEE the FOUL PLAY at hand.

The Senate President is manipulating the voting outcome by unseating his own party and re-seating them with senators who will vote YES to S2173.

This is all in the name of removing religious rights for the entire state, and will rip 46,000 students from school, denying children of an education and leaving a gruesome amount of families in utter dismay.

Bill S2173 will be amended to remove religious exemptions for vaccinations in its entirety. If this bill passes, NJ law will deny education to an estimated 14,000 NJ students (from daycare to graduate school) based on their religious beliefs.

The bill is on the agenda for the Senate Health Committee on THURSDAY December 12^th. Then the full Assembly and Senate meet on Dec 16. It is very possible that the bill moves through committee and both houses and gets signed into law this month…if we do not stop it! This is by far the most urgent situation in NJ we have faced regarding religious freedom and parental rights. They are trying to replicate what happened in NY in NJ!
