In response to Kevan Hulligan’s Article ‘Anti-vaccination’ movement is illogical

Sorry. Your article is both wrong headed and, itself, illogical.
The statistics and epidemiological data are very clear: despite the religious fervor, not a single vaccine has reduced the incidence, prevalence or severity of a single infectious disease. Clean water, improved hygiene and nutrition did.
Edward Jenner was a mountebank who bought his medical degree for 25lbs from the University of Edinburgh and published his “results” before he conducted his “experiments”.
Although I believe that few people involved in vaccinology today are of the same cast of mind, the fact is that epidemics can be predicted by tracking vaccination programs: to misquote Freud, “Where vaccine is, there epidemic shall be”.
The epidemics include autism. No, it makes no sense to inject mercury (vials washed with mercury contain biologically meaningful amounts of mercury so that the total current vaccine schedule puts more mercury in children\s bodies than the total schedule did 20 years ago – and the autism rates make that clear. Flu vaccines contain mercury and babies are being damaged in utero by them in a frankly insane “public health” policy.)
Herd immunity is an absurd apologia for a failed health strategy: if vaccines worked, the vaccination status of the un-vaccinated would be irrelevant.
It is relevant to point out that according to US law, every vaccine approved for deployment in the US must be tested and found to be both safe and efficacious. In fact, only one placebo controlled, double blind study on a vaccine has ever been done where the placebo was not mercury (Thimerisol, 49.5% mercury by weight) or a much more dangerous vaccine known to have severe side effects (e.g., rabies).
That study showed that although any protective impact of the flu vaccine was not statistically significant, the likelihood of vaccinated people contracting serious pulmonary infections increased by more than 400%.
Un-vaccinated children are consistently found to be healthier than vaccinated ones.
Sorry. Being concerned about the health effects of vaccines is logical. Assurances that they are safe are profoundly illogical, based on the lack of evidence thereof.
Gardasil, for example, was found to result in death in 1 woman receiving it in 918 IN A STUDY BY MERCK, THE MANUFACTURER.
What is illogical about worrying about those odds?
Vaccine refusers do not endanger others. Vaccine dispensers do. And those who wish to exercise their best judgement for themselves and those they care for are prudent, reasonable and deserve our commendation for that prudence, not our condemnation for their independence of thought.
The only way to “assuage the fears and [misconceived] notions regarding these matters” is to acknowledge that the medical profession has made a hideous, and brutally defended, error and stop putting ineffective and unnecessary toxins in people.
