Latest rumor from DC: McCain to withdraw his support for the so-called Dietary Supplement Safety Act of 2010 (DSSA – S.3002). The Natural Solutions Foundation, as we twittered yesterday (you are following us on healthfreedomus, aren’t you? If not, click here, LINK, to join our list), it was reported that McCain told Sen Hatch 1 month and 1 day after he introduced it, that he was withdrawing his own bill.
Says one email that claims to have insider info:
“Hundreds of thousands of messages* poured into the Senate opposing Senator
McCain’s bill, the bill that would have wiped out current legislative protections for dietary supplements. More and more messages were arriving by the day. The entire Congress began to take note. … Word is now racing around Capitol Hill that Senator McCain met with Senator Orin Hatch, a champion of natural medicine, and told him that he is withdrawing his support for the bill he authored, the so-called Dietary Supplement Safety Act (S 3002). This means that the bill as written is now dead….”
We’ve believed – and said – the McCain bill was just a stalking-horse for S.510 and intend to continue to push against that bill to make sure it is not amended to include McCain’s imposition of international Codex restrictions on our Dietary Supplement freedoms.
We have led the fight against the bills that will industrialize our food supply and criminalize clean, locally grown food. In fact, 1.3 million of your emails emails later, Senator John McCain reportedly has withdrawn his food fascism bill which would have killed dietary supplements int he US as they are being executed in the EU.
Actually, we tally 390,000 emails generated through our Health Freedom Action eAlert system since McCain offered the bill on February 4th. Previously we had generated just about one million emails opposing the McCain bill’s “more evil twin”– the fake food “safety” bill, S.510, which was poised for adoption last November until about 150,000 messages poured into the Senate from us over one weekend.
But the real danger, Senator Harkin’s horrific anti-freedom S. 510, has not been buried yet. We still fact the danger that Harkin’s bill may pass, amended to include the provisions of McCain’s bill which would allow the FDA to destroy our access to high potency nutrients and supplements and impose the Codex mandates for under nutrition, so dear to the FDA’s heart, upon us in the United States.
The Harkin bill is crafted so that the Codex provisions which the FDA has been battering through Codex, but which we have so far resisted here in the US, would be rammed down our throats on our dinner plates.
In the last two weeks, you have generated more than 390,000 emails to your decision makers with a redounding “DON’T YOU DARE!!!!” but the danger is not past. So now, more than ever, it is urgently important to take the action for the first time if you have not yet done so or, since the Action Item has been amended, to take it again. Of course, you need to take it once for every member of your family and then pass it along as widely as you can possibly send it. Your food, your freedom and your future are at stake.

Fatal FDA Follies
You know that the FDA is so riddled with corruption and industry influence, that the good men and women who work there as scientists wrote to Obama after his election, but before his inauguration, pleading with him to clean house there1. Of course, no new broom swept the FDA clean.
New Users Fees will increase the ownership of the FDA by Big Pharma to the tune of a 65% increase, we have learned. All in all, the increase means the Fraud and Death Administration, which approves the leading cause of death in the US, properly used drugs and vaccines, will get a budget increase of a whopping 23% from $3.3 Billion to $4+ Billion.
Big Pharma, Big Chema, Big Agribiz and, even more horrifyingly, Big Biotech literally own the decision makers there. Big Pharma provides more than half of the FDA’s operating budget through “User Fees”, which are, in essence a tax on the end use, the patient, since the cost is passed directly on to the consumer. Worse, these User Fees turn the FDA, which is supposed to regulate the drug industry, into its client.
Add to this the fact that FDA decision makers are, astonishingly, permitted to own patents, stock options, shares, receive research grants, speaker’s honoraria and other significant financial rewards from the companies, and for the products, that they are approving and you can see why so many deadly drugs, like the Rotovac© Vaccine, Vioxx© and Avianda©, along with dangerous ingredients like Thimerosal, are regulated into high-profit marketability.
The User Fee hikes mean that Big Pharma’s contribution to its own regulatory agency will provide more than $1.1 Billion of the Agency’s 2011 budget.2 yTo make matters much, much worse, the corrupt and deadly FDA is asking Congress to give it
The LA Times Reports:
“The healthy increase in the face of the sagging economy and a debt-ridden federal government is a testament to 1) the FDA’s increasingly complex responsibilities monitoring a global supply chain in both food and drugs, 2) to a perception that the agency has been underfunded for many years, and 3) to its new duties as a regulator of tobacco. The FDA’s budget has swelled by 78% since 2008 and no agency programs are on an Office of Management and Budget hit list of line items slated for extinction or downsizing.
The increased spending would allow the FDA to add 1,200 jobs, expanding its workforce by 10%. Key boosts in spending for 2011 include $318 million to improve food safety, $215 million for anti-smoking programs and $100 million to improve the safety of drugs and medical devices.
More than one-third of the 2011 budget — about $1.5 billion — would come from user fees paid by businesses that make payments for FDA services such as evaluating new applications for drugs and medical devices. The FDA is collecting about $920 million in user fees this year, so the new figure represents a whopping 63% increase.
The increase in the “budget authority,” or tax-funded component of the budget, is relatively modest by comparison, rising 6% to $2.5 billion from $2.36 billion.”3
What does that mean for you? That more dangerous drugs and vaccines will be on shelves and in doctor’s offices, waiting to make a profit that is to die for.
Bill Gates Opens the Depopulation Floodgates
Oh, yes, the FDA, along with its playmate, the Phama Phunded WHO, has another little surprise in store for you: Permanent infertility without your knowledge or wish.4
Dangerous vaccines, approved at the behest of the FDA’s ownership, Big Pharma, are not only untested, unnecessary, unsafe and uninsurable (which is why we are suing the FDA to prevent any influenza shots, including the H1N1, from being used on people) but that they are knowingly designed to produce widespread permanent infertility and thus, population reduction against the wishes, and without the knowledge, of the women rendered infertile.
The Natural Solutions Foundation has been telling you this for quite some time and have so stated publicly. Many people have a hard time believing it, especially since it involves the World Health Organization, a seemingly high minded and benign organization. We know, of course that it is no more that than the FDA is.
“The idea of using vaccines to covertly reduce births in the Third World is also not new. Bill Gates’ good friend, David Rockefeller and his Rockefeller Foundation were involved as early as 1972 in a major project together with WHO and others to perfect another ‘new vaccine.’
The results of the WHO-Rockefeller project were put into mass application on human guinea pigs in the early 1990’s. The WHO oversaw massive vaccination campaigns against tetanus in Nicaragua, Mexico and the Philippines. Comite Pro Vida de Mexico, a Roman Catholic lay organization, became suspicious of the motives behind the WHO program and decided to test numerous vials of the vaccine and found them to contain human Chorionic Gonadotrophin, or hCG. That was a curious component for a vaccine designed to protect people against lock-jaw arising from infection with rusty nail wounds or other contact with certain bacteria found in soil. The tetanus disease was indeed, also rather rare. It was also curious because hCG was a natural hormone needed to maintain a pregnancy. However, when combined with a tetanus toxoid carrier, it stimulated formation of antibodies against hCG, rendering a woman incapable of maintaining a pregnancy, a form of concealed abortion. Similar reports of vaccines laced with hCG hormones came from the Philippines and Nicaragua.”5
AOf course, once the citizens of the developed nations stayed away in droves from the bogus H1N1 “Pandemic” vaccination, their governments came up with a plan to get rid of multi billions of dollars worth of useless vaccines: dump it on the third world!
“In the aftermath of the most recent unnecessary Pandemic declaration of a global H1N1 swine flu emergency, industrial countries were left sitting on hundreds of millions of doses of untested vaccines. They decided to get rid of the embarrassing leftover drugs by handing them over to the WHO which in turn plans to dump them for free on select poor countries. France has given 91 million of the 94 million doses the Sarkozy government bought from the pharma giants; Britain gave 55 million of its 90 million doses. The story for Germany and Norway is similar.
As Dr. Thomas Jefferson, an epidemiologist with the Cochrane Research Center in Rome noted, “Why do they give the vaccines to the developing countries at all? The pandemic has been called off in most parts of the world. The greatest threat in poor countries right now is heart and circulatory diseases while the virus figures at the bottom of the list. What is the medical reason for donating 180 million doses?” As well, flu is a minor problem in countries with abundant sunshine, and it turned out that the feared H1N1 Pandemic “new great plague” was the mildest flu on record.
The pharmaceutical vaccine makers do not speak about the enormous health damage from infant vaccination including autism and numerous neuro-muscular deformities that have been traced back to the toxic adjuvants and preservatives used in most vaccines. Many vaccines, especially multi-dose vaccines that are made more cheaply for sale to the Third World, contain something called Thimerosal (Thiomersol in the EU), a compound (sodium ethylmercurithiosalicylate), containing some 50% mercury, used as a preservative.
In July 1999 the US’ National Vaccine Information Center declared in a press release that, “The cumulative effects of ingesting mercury can cause brain damage.” The same month, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) alerted the public about the possible health effects associated with thimerosal-containing vaccines. They strongly recommended that thimerosal be removed from vaccines as soon as possible. Under the directive of the FDA Modernization Act of 1997, the Food and Drug Administration also determined that infants who received several thimerosal-containing vaccines may be receiving mercury exposure over and above the recommended federal guidelines.”6
GMOs: Genocidally Modified Organisms
If you have been following the Natural Solutions Foundation’s health Freedom Action eAlerts for some time, you have read numerous articles and studies showing just how dangerous GMO “foods” really are. You know that they contaminate species other than their own, increase herbicide and pesticide use and intake, reduce genetic diversity, sow economic and social havoc, cause infertility, auto immune problems, loss of babies in the womb, and a host of other serious problems. You also know that they are approved for sale in the US without any labeling by the industry-friendly FDA. You recall that Dr. Barbara Schneeman told a Codex meeting on labeling GMO “foods” that the US knew that consumers overwhelmingly rejected GMOs but the FDA thought that was a mistake, so they forbad the labeling of GMOs to prevent people from rejecting them in error! (Oslo, 2008). You know that they are untested and that the FDA and USDA MAY NOT examine safety testing, or conduct any, yet they approve them for widespread human and animal use. If you visit our Health Freedom Blog and look for “GMO Files” in our search engine, you’ll find a great deal of scientific documentation making it clear that GMOs are astoundingly dangerous and shockingly untested.
You will also know well that GMOs are being pushed on Africa as a way of controlling the population there? Studies show that organ damage follows ingesting GMO corn for just 90 days7 and that fertility and successful pregnancies are strikingly reduced through eating GMO foods8 and that cancer is related to eating GMO “food” as well.9
“GMO crops have never been proven safe for human or animal consumption. Moreover, they are inherently genetically ‘unstable’ as they are an unnatural product of introducing a foreign bacteria such as Bacillus Thuringiensis (Bt) or other material into the DNA of a given seed to change its traits. Perhaps equally dangerous are the ‘paired’ chemical herbicides sold as a mandatory part of a GMO contract, such as Monsanto’s Roundup, the most widely used such herbicide in the world. It contains highly toxic glyphosate compounds that have been independently tested and proven to exist in toxic concentrations in GMO applications far above that safe for humans or animals. Tests show that tiny amounts of glyphosate compounds would do damage to a human umbilical, embryonic and placental cells in a pregnant woman drinking the ground water near a GMO field.
One long-standing project of the US Government has been to perfect a genetically-modified variety of corn, the diet staple in Mexico and many other Latin American countries. The corn has been field tested in tests financed by the US Department of Agriculture along with a small California bio-tech company named Epicyte. Announcing his success at a 2001 press conference, the president of Epicyte, Mitch Hein, pointing to his GMO corn plants, announced, “We have a hothouse filled with corn plants that make anti-sperm antibodies.”
Hein explained that they had taken antibodies from women with a rare condition known as immune infertility, isolated the genes that regulated the manufacture of those infertility antibodies, and, using genetic engineering techniques, had inserted the genes into ordinary corn seeds used to produce corn plants. In this manner, in reality they produced a concealed contraceptive embedded in corn meant for human consumption. “Essentially, the antibodies are attracted to surface receptors on the sperm,” said Hein. “They latch on and make each sperm so heavy it cannot move forward. It just shakes about as if it was doing the lambada.” Hein claimed it was a possible solution to world “over-population.” The moral and ethical issues of feeding it to humans in Third World poor countries without their knowing it countries he left out of his remarks.
Spermicides hidden in GMO corn provided to starving Third World populations through the generosity of the Gates’ foundation, Rockefeller Foundation and Kofi Annan’s AGRA or vaccines that contain undisclosed sterilization agents are just two documented cases of using vaccines or GMO seeds to “reduce population.“10
By the way, what makes people in the Third World sterile, sick and suffering when they eat it, makes you that way, too. This is not a problem of the haves and the have nots. This is a problem of they tyrants and the free men and women they are seeking to oppress and kill – us.

Like him or not, Kevin Trudea speaks up loud and clear for that which he believes. He believes in natural cures. His speech, like yours, is protected by the First Amendment. Or so you would think. Kevin is facing a $37 million dollar fine because he told people that his diet plan was “easy” and Judge Gettleman says it is not “easy” — without, of course, trying it. And he is facing a month in jail NOW because he asked his supporters to tell Judge Gettleman about their diet experience and their support for Kevin. 300 people used the Judge’s public email address, it is said, “crashing” the emai system. That so enraged the judge that he sentenced Trudeau to 30 days in jail! Is it possible to “crash” an email system with a few hundred emails? Of course not. And even if it were, it’s still free speech, just like it was when you “crashed” the FDA’s comment system in 2007 with 198,000 emails, stopping the agency’s anti-CAM gudiance.
UPDATE: SATURDAY, Feb 20, 2010: “The Chicago Sun-Times reports that Kevin Trudeau won’t go to jail today. An appeals court granted his emergency appeal today and said it will hear it next week.” Why was 2010 Health Freedom War Council speaker and radio personality Kevin Trudeau ordered to jail by a Federal Court? What was his “contempt”? He gave out the public email address of said Federal judge and 300 citizens sought to petition the judge for redress of grievances… surely a ‘terrorist’ act!

Speaking Health Truth Carries Jail Time in the US?
Jim Folsom is 60 years old. He believes in (as I do), and sells (as I do not) Rife devices. These frequecy-emitting health tools are legal to sell in the United States as long as no claims are made for them. The FDA and FTC, engaging in their on-going criminal collusions to kill yet another safe and effective technology which people might want to use instead of drugs (exactly as they are trying to kill colloidal and nano silver, www.Nutronix.com/naturalsolutions, the universal antibiotice), brought criminal charges against Jim Folsom for making “false” claims and selling an illegal device. Jim was convicted in a Federal Court of making false claims because a book, published 50 years ago, uses the word “Cure” in its title!
Before you decry the outrage perpetrated by the jury, you have to ask “Why didn’t the jurors do better for Jim?” The answer is even more chilling than the sentence the judge handed down: ALL of Jim’s witnesses and ALL of his evidence was kept from the jury by motions from the agencies and the collusion of the Court. He was tried by a jury that was not allowed to know that it has the power to refuse to convict “despite the law” — this Right of Jury Nullification is how bad laws used to be overturned by the community, but this essential Right of the People is hidden from the juries and truly, no one in America today ever receives a true, Constitutional trial by a jury of his/her peers!
He has been sentenced to 51 months in jail, including the 10 months he has already spent in custody. The FDA wanted to impose a sentence of 15 years, the “Sentencing Guidelines” call for 11 years. Oh, and by the way, the FDA has asked the Court for permission to destroy the evidence by destroying every one of the Rife machines they seized, including the device that PROVES that Rife devices are “grandfathered” under the law! Jim was raided by armed FDA Marshals who violated his freedoms by the bagful. Now the government wants to violate all our freedoms by denying that Rife devices have been around since before the medical devices law. Attempts by constituted authorities to deny historical reality are usually an indication of the moral and intellectual bankruptcy of the system. It is terrible and sobering to realize that good people like Jim Folsom are victims to the lies that lie at the heart of the Federal control system. How long will Americans allow themselves to be victimized by their alleged, and ever so self-serving “protectors?”

This time, however, it would appear that things may have shifted for the better. We hope to see, and bring you, many more such good followership items from other Health Freedom activists! Let this be a major sea change!
The Natural Solutions Foundation firmly believes that the more we work together, the easier it will be to move from Push Back to Take Down! This petition is a moderately good recounting of the health freedom issues. While not exhaustive, there are a number issues enumerated here which we have brought to you previously in what we believe to be effective tactics for real change.
We don’t all agree on all the items in the list, but the activists who drafted it are mostly good people and mostly allies, so we are happy to seek additional signatures to the Health Revolution Petition. While a laundry list of items of this sort may not bring about administrative, legislative or judicial changes as our far more targeted Action Items can and do, it will serve as notice to TPTB (the powers that be). For that reason, we suggest that you sign this petition to serve yet another notice that we care – deeply – about these issues.
A Bitter Brew for Freedom
When the State uses its immense power to oppress those who criticise it, we have tyranny, pure and simple.
Like the Tea Party Movement or no (and, when it comes to Constitutional issues, it does not matter if you do like them or not) it is nothing short of a constitutional exercise of First Amendment Rights, precisely as Kevin Trudeau’s speech “offense” and Jim Folsom’s research “crime” are.
The Breaking News, Hot Off the Presses latest assault on the right to free speech is the assault on the Tea Party Movement. The morass of legal and tax complications which these organizations are suddenly being told they must wade through sucessfully is intended to be daunting and dangerous so that the organizations can always be pulled up short because they did not do this or that exactly right. It takes a lawyer to figure it out. We’d like to help the Tea Party survive and grow because we believe in free speech. We need competent legal advice for them to do so. Under both the Constitution and recent case law, it is possible to engage in expressive association activities without becoming political parties or action organizations; a recent Supreme Court case which makes it clear that the First Amendment trumps goverment political speech regulation. After all, the speech rights it gave to corporate persons apply to non governmental organizations (and people?) as well.
We must keep the voice of freedom strong for as many of those “thousand cuts” as we can and this is yet another way to do so.

This bill is a “stalking horse” for the equally bad “food safety” bill S 510 that your Push Back had stalled in committee. And, while we are on the subject of clean, unadulterated food, I have two things more to share with you: Genetically Modified Foods, which the FDA approves just, well, just BECAUSE, have no meaningful examination of safety data prior to allowing a patented seed or animal into your food supply. The USDA, headed by Seretary Vilsik, a former Monsanto Executive, exercises no control or restriction over these “foods” whatsoever.
Bayer Crop Sciences’ pheamceutical rice has contamianted the entire South Eastern US rice growers’ livlihood. GMO alfalfa will certainly contaminate all alfalfa in the US now that the shamefully inadequate USDA sham environmental imapact study has been released by that corporate-controlled agency.
Organic cows eat organic alfalfa (the fifth largest crop in the US) so there may well be no more organic beef or milk production in North America by the time these perennial plants distribute their patented DNA over the North American Continent thorugh the work of wind, bees, birds and animals.

Let me tell you my true silver story. On January 6, 2010, shortly after the 2010 Health Freedom War Council, General Bert and I flew to Denver. This is in response to an email bemoaning (quite correctly, as it happens) what is happening to the US and its food supply. But rather than just bemoan it, I have a different take on the situation.
First, a true story:
Years ago, just after General Bert and I founded the Natural Solutions Foundation, I contacted the founder and president of the major glyconutrient MLM and told him that he would be put out of business if Codex was permitted to ratify the 2005 Vitamin and Mineral Guideline. I knew that without support from the wellness industry as well as consumers, it would be ratified on July 4, 2005 at the Codex Alimentarius Commission, as, indeed, it was.
He told me, through his special assistant, that he was not worried because he had been promised that if he helped to bring in Codex into the US and Canada, his “reward” would be that his would be the only line of nutrients available in the EU.
I asked him what about the people who depended upon his products here, and firmly believed that they were the reason that cancer, autism, ADD and a host of other serious diseases and disorders were either gone or under control.
The answer?
“Business is Business!”
This man was also deeply involved with the MLM industry organization.
End of true story.
The writer of the post on the GMO forum said that she had been fighting this battle for a long time. I have been fighting this war for a long time, too.
It is clearly up to us, each one of us. So here is my question to you all, each and every one of you: What are YOU doing to organize your community, to take the call for a total ban on GMOs and the fight against the McCain/Harkin bills, S 3002 and S 510, to your communities of interest?
Have you been out to your local farmers’ market, your health food stores armed with flyers and Action Item information and directions?
Have you sent emails with the action items out to every single person on your lists with a short note saying this is important to you and you believe it is important to them, too?
Have you written or called the supplement companies you are buying products from, asked if their materials are free of GMO sources, how do they know and, if not, what they are doing about replacing them so that they are free of them?
Have you asked your tea and coffee, snack and other food companies if their products are free of GMOs and, as above, how do they know and what are they doing to change that?
Have you stopped, absolutely stopped, buying prepared and prepackaged foods, totally, unless they say “Organic” (even then, there is a serious problem, but it is considerably better than other foods)?
Have you stopped buying anything but organic foods in all forms an, if there is an economic problem, made other compensatory changes (fewer chips, sodas, bottled water – fill a glass bottle with your own and take it with you)?
If not, inaction will cost us the battle. Either each and every one of us is either a warrior or we are not. Are you?
I know you are busy. That is exactly what the other side is counting on.
I know you feel powerless. That, too, is exactly what they are counting on.
I know you feel over whelmed. Guess what? They are counting on that, too.
We have the numbers IF we use them.
They have the dollars and they are absolutely using them.
So here is the battle plan:

We’ve already generated 1.099,240 emails already but that’s just the beginning. Let’s make it 10 times that many. Remember to ask everyone to take the action once for each member of their household.

, to ban ALL GMOs. We have only generated 39,883 emails on this Action Item. That means that the people on this list and their friends may care, but not enough to act strongly. This is actually quite surprising, since polls repeatedly show that well over 80% of Americans do not want GMO foods in their cupboards, their foods or their bodies. So it would seem reasonable that this list would be very close to 100% in its opposition to this type of adulterant in its food since freedom alone, and health aside, I cannot imagine anyone one who is a Natural Solutions Foundation supporter agreeing that secret, untested, dangerous and biosphere contaminating food should be forced upon to make us sick without our having any say in the matter. We agree. Act now.
Take these Actions and then disseminate these items asking everyone you know to take action and then disseminate it the same way.
If we are a nation of sheep and we do not know it, we are, I suppose, not to blame.
If we know what is happening and we act like sheep, then we are to blame.
Let’s take our collective awareness and spearhead the drive to own our own bodies and reclaim our freedom!

Vaccines are a magnificently financed, well-crafted fraud. They do not work. They are dangerous. There has NEVER been a single placebo-controlled, double blind standard to show whether vaccines do or do not protect against disease.
Kids vaccinated with seasonal influenza shots have three times the hospital admissions for all reasons. Asthma incidence and prevalence has gone up at the same rate as increases in pediatric vaccine schedule. Autism has followed the same curve. Infant mortality has, too, so that it is safer to be pregnant and give birth – for both mother and baby, in Bosnia than it is in the US where vaccines are ubiquitous.
People are getting wise and are becoming resistant to the lie that vaccines are safe or effective or, worse, both. They stayed away in droves from the H1N1 vaccine and, guess what? They did not die. Since the lab tests for H1N1 virus are wrong 90% of the time, and since nobody is doing those lab tests anymore, it is not clear that a single person has ever died from that genetically engineered, highly profitable virus.
It is clear, however, that no antibody produced by the body in response to a vaccine have ever been shown to protect the vaccinated person against the disease.
Vaccine programs create outbreaks, epidemics and pandemics.

Oh, by the way, just a few days ago the New York State Legislature abandoned a vote on legislation which would have given the state permission to prevent or treat, including the use of vaccines, any sexually transmitted disease or anything related to one (which could be twisted into anything at all) WITHOUT PARENTAL KNOWLEDGE OR APPROVAL.
The uproar was so deafening that, once again, Push Back became Take Down and the vote was canceled. God job, New York State. You were an inspiration to the rest of us.

Vaccine Not Fail-Safe in Ongoing Mumps Outbreak
CDC says more than 1,500 cases have been reported in New York, New Jersey

THURSDAY, Feb. 11 (HealthDay News) — In a recent mumps outbreak occurring in the eastern United States, even some of those who were vaccinated against the infectious illness got sick, health officials report.
A study released Thursday by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention tracked an ongoing outbreak of mumps, largely confined to an orthodox Hasidic Jewish group. The outbreak started among boys attending a religious summer camp in New York State and continued when the youngsters returned to their homes in New York and New Jersey. Currently some 1,521 cases have been reported, with more individuals coming down with the disease.
The mumps virus can cause swelling and pain in the salivary glands, giving people so-called “chipmunk cheeks,” as well as fever, headache, sore throat and pain when swallowing. Other symptoms include loss of appetite, vomiting and tired, achy muscles.
Symptoms can last for up to 10 days, and the disease can be spread one to two days before symptoms start and for up to nine days after symptoms appear. It can take up to 25 days after exposure to mumps before symptoms appear.
Mumps is a self-limiting disease with no specific treatment. It is best treated with bed rest and over-the-counter medications such as acetaminophen to reduce fever, according to the CDC.
“The outbreak has been ongoing since the end of June,” said study co-author and CDC epidemiologist Kathleen Gallagher. “Ninety-seven percent of cases are among this Jewish community.”
The outbreak has probably been confined to this group because they have less contact with the wider community, Gallagher noted.
She said the outbreak started in a summer boy’s camp. “The original [patient] case had traveled to Great Britain, where they are having, and have been having, an ongoing outbreak of mumps for a while now,” she said.
The report is published in the Feb. 12 edition of the CDC’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report.
Although the outbreak started among boys and remains mostly among them, the disease has spread to some adults and girls, Gallagher said. The concentration of the outbreak among boys is largely due to the separation of these boys and girls in school and other social and religious activities.
Most of the people who have become sick had received the mumps, measles and rubella vaccine (MMR), according to the report. In fact, 88 percent had received at least one dose of the vaccine and 75 percent had received two doses.
However, the vaccine is not 100 percent effective, the CDC team noted. Studies have found one dose 73 percent to 91 percent effective, while the effectiveness of two doses ranged from 79 percent to 95 percent, according to the report.
“That means if you were to expose 100 people to mumps, 10 of them might still come down with the disease,” Gallagher said. In this outbreak, these percentages are holding, she added.
Although the vaccine doesn’t protect everyone, it does work for most people and effectively prevents outbreaks from becoming worse. “We think that if we didn’t have such high levels of MMR coverage, we would have even more spread,” Gallagher said.
Outbreaks of mumps are not all that unusual, Gallagher said.
“We have had outbreaks of mumps in communities that have had two doses before,” she said. In 2006, there was a large outbreak of mumps among college students in the Midwest, she noted.
And mumps remains prevalent in other areas of the world.
“While we are well-vaccinated against mumps in the United States, many countries throughout the world don’t vaccinate at all against mumps,” she said. “There is a lot of mumps circulating globally. This means that anytime there is a potential for importation like happened with this summer camp, there is potential for mumps to be introduced even into a highly vaccinated population.”

Food additives are regulated by the FDA and USDA. These two organizations have the power to make sure you food is clean, wholesome, accurately labeled and free of both filth and contaminants. But, tragically for freedom, food and your health, they do not.
Instead, they bow to industry pressure to lower standards, hide contaminants and toxins, thus increasing the dangers of foods to consumers, the unimaginable horrors of food production at every step along the way, agricultural labor, factory food operations, slaughter, harvest, processing, and, finally, the horror of what that food does to you and your loved ones: the preventable, needless and tragic diseases that cost us our lives, our health and, ultimately, our freedom to make other choices.
Even organic standards are degraded both by the USDA and Codex (which are, in many ways, one and the same) to the point where they are becoming meaningless, with virtually unlimited GMO contamination permitted in the US, more chemicals permitted in the production of organic vegetables, fruits and animal products and a softening of procedural safeguards and product restrictions in those standards – all unlabeled, of course!
And deeply embedded in this slavish subjugation of real regulation and protection, corruption and callous disregard of our health and that of our planet, is Codex Alimentarius, http://www.codexalimentarius.net/web/index_en.jsp, the United Nations Commission which sets up standards and guidelines covering every single bite or drink of food, every nutrient, every swallow of everything that can legally go in your mouth except drugs.
And who runs Codex? Basically, the US, in cahoots with the EU, decides what they want and then bulls it through the process to ratification by the annual Codex Alimentarius Commission.

That same document stated what the World Health Organization would state at around the same time: that it was ‘necessary’ to hold depopulation as the primary goal of US foreign policy, “starting with the third world”. That is the reason that WHO gives for creating, and continuing to deploy
And that is precisely what Codex is: an extension of the US foregin policy of depopulation, with a huge dollop of greed and immoral deception thrown in for good measure. It is, in fact, nothing short of a globalist conspiracy, at the top levels, using food to contaminate our food supply and eliminate the “useless eaters” of the world, those who are consuming the non-renewable resources which the elite believe they own by some sort of diving right of Illuminati kings. Ah, you say, not in the US. Our food is clean and industries are held accountable for what they put in our food, do to our food, allow to happen to our food. That depopulation stuff is just for the third world, isn’t it?
Dream on. The very industries which FDA, EPA and USDA were created to curb, control and corral have become the owners, though intense corruption and vastly deep pockets, the dictators of the limp regulations which do not curb them, control them, nor protect anything but their interests, public be sickened and be dammed. Our food supply is horrifyingly degraded, minus accurate labeling.
How degraded? Take a look at the article following this article and realize that you are looking at Codex on the hoof, that, with a few minor differences, the contamination and adulteration described here, making you sick with illnesses of supposedly unknown origins like cancer, heart disease, MS, MD, arthritis, diabetes, auto immune disease, chemical sensitivity, birth defects, autism, infertility, psychiatric illnesses and on and on and on are also Codex on the hoof.
Wrap you mind around the reality that clean food is not easy for mega industries to produce, so it is not profitable. What is not profitable is not produced and, if someone else, for example, small farmers, produce it, they will be driven out of business.
With the help of the US Congress. The House of Representatives has passed legislation which, if passed by the Senate, will criminalize the production and sale of clean healthy foods. Senator Harkin’s bogus Food “Safety” Bill, S. 510, will give the entire food supply to Big Agribiz with no checks, balances or redress AND give vast amounts of power to the FDA, which Rep. Dr. Ron Paul says is already abusing its power to our detriment. We agree with Dr. Paul. Giving more power to what is arguably the most corrupt organization in the developed world is not a reasonable action.
Worse yet, our contaminated food requires an increased supply of nutrients but Senator John McCain has introduced another bogus Food “Safety” bill, S. 3002, which will destroy the legal basis for your access to the nutrients that over 90% of the US Population chooses to use to maintain or regain health.
The Natural Solutions Foundation knows that these bills are intended to destroy access to clean, unadulterated food, a prime requisite for health and freedom. We know that the high likelihood is that these two dangerous and anti-health, anti-freedom bills will be merged into a single omnibus piece of death-dealing legislation which will literally criminalize the production, sale or consumption of clean food and nutrients.

Here’s a sampling of what you’ll find in meat & poultry. By the way, many of these chemicals do not need to be labeled on the products you purchase. Honestly, some of these things might be harmless. Even water can sound like a dangerous chemical if you refer to it as dihydrogen oxide. But the sheer length of this list as well as the fact that consumers are in the dark about most of them makes me very glad that I’m a vegetarian and that what little meat I’ve eaten in the past several years came directly from farmers I know.
