This is in response to an email bemoaning (quite correctly, as it happens) what is happening to the US and its food supply. But rather than just bemoan it, I have a different take on the situation.
First, a true story:
Years ago, just after General Bert and I founded the Natural Solutions Foundation, I contacted the founder and president of the major glyconutrient MLM and told him that he would be put out of business if Codex was permitted to ratify the 2005 Vitamin and Mineral Guideline. I knew that without support from the wellness industry as well as consumers, it would be ratified on July 4, 2005 at the Codex Alimentarius Commission, as, indeed, it was.
He told me, through his special assistant, that he was not worried because he had been promised that if he helped to bring in Codex into the US and Canada, his “reward” would be that his would be the only line of nutrients available in the EU.
I asked him what about the people who depended upon his products here, and firmly believed that they were the reason that cancer, autism, ADD and a host of other serious diseases and disorders were either gone or under control.
The answer?
“Business is Business!”
This man was also deeply involved with the MLM industry organization.
End of true story.
The writer of the post on the GMO forum said that she had been fighting this battle for a long time. I have been fighting this war for a long time, too.
It is clearly up to us, each one of us. So here is my question to you all, each and every one of you: What are YOU doing to organize your community, to take the call for a total ban on GMOs and the fight against the McCain/Harkin bills, S 3002 and S 510, to your communities of interest?
Have you been out to your local farmers’ market, your health food stores armed with flyers and Action Item information and directions?
Have you sent emails with the action items out to every single person on your lists with a short note saying this is important to you and you believe it is important to them, too?
Have you written or called the supplement companies you are buying products from, asked if their materials are free of GMO sources, how do they know and, if not, what they are doing about replacing them so that they are free of them?
Have you asked your tea and coffee, snack and other food companies if their products are free of GMOs and, as above, how do they know and what are they doing to change that?
Have you stopped, absolutely stopped, buying prepared and prepackaged foods, totally, unless they say “Organic” (even then, there is a serious problem, but it is considerably better than other foods)?
Have you stopped buying anything but organic foods in all forms an, if there is an economic problem, made other compensatory changes (fewer chips, sodas, bottled water – fill a glass bottle with your own and take it with you)?
If not, inaction will cost us the battle. Either each and every one of us is either a warrior or we are not. Are you?
I know you are busy. That is exactly what the other side is counting on.
I know you feel powerless. That, too, is exactly what they are counting on.
I know you feel over whelmed. Guess what? They are counting on that, too.
We have the numbers IF we use them.
They have the dollars and they are absolutely using them.

to stop the McCain and Harkin bills (S. 3002 and S. 501) that WILL repeal DSHEA and thus destroy our right to access supplements to bring us into HARMonization with Europe, where this has already happened and WILL totally industrialize the entire US food supply.
We’ve already generated 1.099,240 emails already but that’s just the beginning. Let’s make it 10 times that many. Remember to ask everyone to take the action once for each member of their household.

, to ban ALL GMOs. We have only generated 39,883 emails on this Action Item. That means that the people on this list and their friends may care, but not enough to act strongly. This is actually quite surprising, since polls repeatedly show that well over 80% of Americans do not want GMO foods in their cupboards, their foods or their bodies. So it would seem reasonable that this list would be very close to 100% in its opposition to this type of adulterant in its food since freedom alone, and health aside, I cannot imagine anyone one who is a Natural Solutions Foundation supporter agreeing that secret, untested, dangerous and biosphere contaminating food should be forced upon to make us sick without our having any say in the matter. We agree. Act now.
Take these Actions and then disseminate these items asking everyone you know to take action and then disseminate it the same way.
If we are a nation of sheep and we do not know it, we are, I suppose, not to blame.
If we know what is happening and we act like sheep, then we are to blame.
Let’s take our collective awareness and spearhead the drive to own our own bodies and reclaim our freedom!

The Mc Cain and Harkin bills are part of it. GMO “food” is, too.
That IS all part of the marketing model.
And, remember, that the agricultural chemicals and GMOs that make you sick are made by drug companies. This is no accident.
So our strategy is really, really simple:
1. Get the truth out on the internet that Sen. Jay Rockefeller regrets our ever having gotten hold of and on radio and by every other means of which we can think
2. Formulate effective strategies and them implement them through effective tactics (that is where you come in!)
3. Garner the assets, including activists, domestic and international friends to what we are doing, finances and keep doing it better and better and better.

Food additives are regulated by the FDA and USDA. These two organizations have the power to make sure you food is clean, wholesome, accurately labeled and free of both filth and contaminants. But, tragically for freedom, food and your health, they do not.
Instead, they bow to industry pressure to lower standards, hide contaminants and toxins, thus increasing the dangers of foods to consumers, the unimaginable horrors of food production at every step along the way, agricultural labor, factory food operations, slaughter, harvest, processing, and, finally, the horror of what that food does to you and your loved ones: the preventable, needless and tragic diseases that cost us our lives, our health and, ultimately, our freedom to make other choices.
Even organic standards are degraded both by the USDA and Codex (which are, in many ways, one and the same) to the point where they are becoming meaningless, with virtually unlimited GMO contamination permitted in the US, more chemicals permitted in the production of organic vegetables, fruits and animal products and a softening of procedural safeguards and product restrictions in those standards – all unlabeled, of course!
And deeply embedded in this slavish subjugation of real regulation and protection, corruption and callous disregard of our health and that of our planet, is Codex Alimentarius, http://www.codexalimentarius.net/web/index_en.jsp, the United Nations Commission which sets up standards and guidelines covering every single bite or drink of food, every nutrient, every swallow of everything that can legally go in your mouth except drugs.
And who runs Codex? Basically, the US, in cahoots with the EU, decides what they want and then bulls it through the process to ratification by the annual Codex Alimentarius Commission.
The Natural Solutions Foundation attends some of the huge numbers of Codex meetings each year (there is one just about every week somewhere in the world) and what we see is that the US is serving its lethal constituency, the Bigs: Big Pharma, Big Agribiz, Big Biotech, Bic Chema and Big Medica. Of course, we undersand that the same companies which make the agricultural chemicals and additives are also the drug companies. They are also the industrialized agriculture companies.
Just as Big Pharma is working very hard to drive natural medicine out of existence since that is its primary competitor, so it and its sister industries, its sister Bigs, are working just as hard to take over all food production all over the world. After all, healthy people mean sickly profits for an industry that makes money only when you are sick, healthy profits mean sick people. And healthy food means slickly profits for the chemical, irradiation and GMO companies, all tightly tied to Big Pharma.
‘Whoever controls food controls the world’, Henry Kissinger told President Nixon in 1974 when he authored his then-secret National Security Memorandum 200. That same document stated what the World Health Organization would state at around the same time: that it was ‘necessary’ to hold depopulation as the primary goal of US foreign policy, “starting with the third world”. That is the reason that WHO gives for creating, and continuing to deploy
And that is precisely what Codex is: an extension of the US foregin policy of depopulation, with a huge dollop of greed and immoral deception thrown in for good measure. It is, in fact, nothing short of a globalist conspiracy, at the top levels, using food to contaminate our food supply and eliminate the “useless eaters” of the world, those who are consuming the non-renewable resources which the elite believe they own by some sort of diving right of Illuminati kings. I do not think you will look at Codex again, or the US involvement with it, the same way again.
Ah, you say, not in the US. Our food is clean and industries are held accountable for what they put in our food, do to our food, allow to happen to our food. That depopulation stuff is just for the third world, isn’t it?
Dream on. The very industries which FDA, EPA and USDA were created to curb, control and corral have become the owners, though intense corruption and vastly deep pockets, the dictators of the limp regulations which do not curb them, control them, nor protect anything but their interests, public be sickened and be dammed. Our food supply is horrifyingly degraded, minus accurate labeling.
How degraded? Take a look at the article following this article and realize that you are looking at Codex on the hoof, that, with a few minor differences, the contamination and adulteration described here, making you sick with illnesses of supposedly unknown origins like cancer, heart disease, MS, MD, arthritis, diabetes, auto immune disease, chemical sensitivity, birth defects, autism, infertility, psychiatric illnesses and on and on and on are also Codex on the hoof.
Wrap you mind around the reality that clean food is not easy for mega industries to produce, so it is not profitable. What is not profitable is not produced and, if someone else, for example, small farmers, produce it, they will be driven out of business.
With the help of the US Congress. The House of Representatives has passed legislation which, if passed by the Senate, will criminalize the production and sale of clean healthy foods. Senator Harkin’s bogus Food “Safety” Bill, S. 510, will give the entire food supply to Big Agribiz with no checks, balances or redress AND give vast amounts of power to the FDA, which Rep. Dr. Ron Paul says is already abusing its power to our detriment. We agree with Dr. Paul. Giving more power to what is arguably the most corrupt organization in the developed world is not a reasonable action.
Worse yet, our contaminated food requires an increased supply of nutrients but Senator John McCain has introduced another bogus Food “Safety” bill, S. 3002, which will destroy the legal basis for your access to the nutrients that over 90% of the US Population chooses to use to maintain or regain health.
The Natural Solutions Foundation knows that these bills are intended to destroy access to clean, unadulterated food, a prime requisite for health and freedom. We know that the high likelihood is that these two dangerous and anti-health, anti-freedom bills will be merged into a single omnibus piece of death-dealing legislation which will literally criminalize the production, sale or consumption of clean food and nutrients.

Please note that the contamination, irradiation, adulteration, chemicals permitted (including sprays of fluoride produced by Dow Chemical Company at 3300 ppm on your food to prevent it from getting moldy, for example), are just as much a problem as the meet additives listed below.
From where I sit, every single decision made by Codex, which really means made by the US Government on behalf of the multinational corporations, is a decision to degrade your health, curtail your freedom, mandate under nutrition and then use your suffering to ruthlessly control you and yours by eliminating all options for health choice and natural health options. Unless and until we take control of our health, our freedom and our food, things will just get worse.

Food is List of Additives Allowed in Meat & Poultry (Yum!)
Want to know what’s in your meat and/or poultry? Here’s a sampling of what you’ll find in meat & poultry. By the way, many of these chemicals do not need to be labeled on the products you purchase. Honestly, some of these things might be harmless. Even water can sound like a dangerous chemical if you refer to it as dihydrogen oxide. But the sheer length of this list as well as the fact that consumers are in the dark about most of them makes me very glad that I’m a vegetarian and that what little meat I’ve eaten in the past several years came directly from farmers I know.
Acidifiers: Ammonium hydroxide, an aqueous solution of acidic calcium sulfate, an aqueous solution of hydrochloric and acetic acid, an aqueous solution of citric and hydrochloric acid, an aqueous solution of citric acid, hydrochloric acid, and phosphoric acid, an aqueous solution of sulfuric acid, citric acid, and phosphoric acid, sodium bisulfate, and sulfuric acid.
Anticoagulants: Sodium tripolyphosphate
Antimicrobials: An aqueous solution of sodium diacetate (4%), lactic acid, (4%), pectin (2%), and acetic acid (0.5%); an aqueous solution of sodium octanoate or octanoic acid and either glycerin and/or propylene glycol and/or a Polysorbate surface active agent (quantity sufficient to achieve the technical effect of octanoic acid emulsification) adjusted to a final solution pH of 1.5 to 4.0 using sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, or an acceptable GRAS [generally regarded as safe] acid;… (the list goes on for many pages and includes such gems as anhydrous ammonia and chlorine gas)
Antioxidants: BHA (butylated hydroxyanisole), BHT (butylated hydroxytoluene)

Dr. Rima Reports: Valley of the Moon Eco Demonstration Community
It has been a very busy couple of weeks since we returned to the Valley of the Moon™ Eco Demonstration Project, the Natural Solutions Foundation’s Headquarters Finca (farm) in the Highlands of Panama, from our Health Freedom USA 2010 War Council. I was way too jammed up with things I had to attend to in order to write to you all and tell you what is going on, but I am carving time out of a very, very busy day to share with you what is happening because it is so interesting and important.
General Bert and I were in the States for 3 weeks (willing to travel there only because your Push Back has – so far – managed to avert both an overt closing-down of society into a police state and mandatory H1N1 (or other) vaccination for all seeking to enter or leave the US.
As some of you may know from my interview with Gov. Jessie Ventura on his Conspiracy Theory show, mandatory vaccination is, in our opinion, still a very real threat. And yes, to answer the questions of some, I do see very serious threat to our freedoms or I would not be devoting my life, without pay, 20 hours a day, 7 days a week, to this work – nor would the other Foundation Trustees! So it is not a ‘victim consciousness’ which drives us, but a freedom awareness and a sense of deep and abiding empowerment. We spent the next few days meeting with people who are interested in our Eco Demonstration Projects. One of the Joint Ventures which will function at the project has created a structure for Clinical Trials here in Panama to support the Wellness Industry in the US, EU and elsewhere — to help it defend itself from intended extinction (and I am not using these words lightly) by the US and international forces (represented in the US by FDA/EPA/FTC, the minions of the pharmaceutical industry, and internationally by such forces as Pharma-funded WHO, Codex Alimentarius, etc.). These trials will be conducted in Panama at the Valley of the Moon Eco Demonstration Project and will help the industry which provides us with the products and devices upon which we depend for natural health (e.g., supplements, herbs, energy devices, etc.) while contributing to the funding stream which will make the Project self-sustaining. The Wellness and Seminar Center, here at the Headquarters Finca, is nearing completion and will provide an invaluable resource for us and for the community: There is not a single full-service Advanced medical center in Panama and, as the pressures against this type of health care (as opposed to Big Pharma’s disastrous and rationed illness un-care), this resource will become even more precious.
The kitchen is currently being finished so that we will be able to serve totally Beyond Organic meals, snacks and, of course VALLEY OF THE MOON COFFEE, www.ValleyoftheMoonCoffee.org, to guests and everyone else who values this kind of food. The chef? Our marvelous Gail Coba, whom some of you already know. What that means, of course, is that we will need people to replace many of the functions that Gail currently fulfills as Executive Director of the Valley of the Moon. One of the really nice things that happened yesterday is that we found someone who may do just that. Maciel is coming on board this coming Monday and is a highly accomplished young woman from this area who is fully bilingual (7 years in the US). She comes equipped with a lively mind and high level administrative skills – and cares passionately about food.
Today, Patrica, our Administrator (who was hired to be my Personal Assistant but whose skills and connections are so immense that she has morphed into our Panamanian Liaison and Administrator, leaving me without a Personal Assistant – hint, hint, hint!!!!) and I are going on a kitchen tour of the local restaurants with great kitchens made by the guy we have selected to do our stainless steel work. As with all our efforts, we seek to meet the “Songhai Principles” of Doing What We Do With Passion, Perfection and Profitability”. Our Beyond Organic Cafe will provide a showcase for natural products and procedures.
Today the tiles for that kitchen have been bought. It will, of course, double as a teaching kitchen. Oh, yes, Patricia arranged for approval of our restaurant and kitchen plans by the Board of Health and the Fire Department before we went ahead with construction. We had no idea that such approval was necessary … see what I mean about Patricia? The willingness of people like her from the community to work with us on our Goal of “discovering, developing, demonstrating, documenting and disseminating natural solutions” gives us great hope for the future.
Yesterday was a red letter day for Valley of the Moon in a number of ways. We went over to the Town of Boquete to investigate another source of organic produce (we have stunningly clean raw milk, by the way, and will begin the production of Valley of the Moon yogurt this week with flavors made from organic fruit and organic sugar cane sugar, Raspadura, made in precisely the same natural way that maple syrup is manufactured: extraction of the juice and hand stirring while the excess liquid is evaporated. The result is a cake of sweet, nutrient rich concentrated cane juice. Our Raspadura is grown in clean soil without any chemical inputs whatsoever and extracted in hand driven presses, then boiled in stainless steel vats, strained with leaves to clarify the liquid and formed in wooden molds into the sweet cakes that we use for baking, cooking and, now, yogurt flavoring!
Where are we going to sell it? Many places. Yesterday, we placed our Valley of the Moon Coffee in Organica, the store selling, guess what? Organic products, in Boquete. Our yogurt will go there next week!

Is our coffee organic? You bet it is, but it is not yet certified. We are in the process of having it certified right this very minute, as a matter of fact! I cannot tell you exactly when we can add that word to our labels and web site, but it is in the works and we are thrilled. We respect the serious consideration given to the “organic” label in Panama and look forward to that addition to our label.
While we were in Boquete we were warmly greeted by some folks who are on our mailing list. They asked us to come to lunch with them and give them an update on the state of Codex. We did so and forged a great alliance with them. They want to be part of our food chain. What does that mean?
Well, neither a restaurant nor a community, nor a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture, program in which people make an investment at the beginning of the growing season, sharing the risk with the farmer and then get a weekly delivery of goods during the harvest) can survive on coffee and yogurt alone, no matter how wonderful they are.
So this afternoon, after the kitchen tour, our Executive Committee (Bert, Gail, Patricia and I) will meet to discuss our plans for actually beginning to grow our food to our standards on land that we already control. To provide food which is truly Beyond Organic for the restaurant and our Community Supported Agriculture programs we must grow our own while we teach farmers how to meet our exacting standards, reclaim their soil, etc.
If you are thinking about coming with organic growing experience (and maybe some heirloom seeds…) in your pocket, now would be a very good time to share that with us! You would be most warmly welcomed, and given responsibility and opportunity to grow and to teach.
Tomorrow we will get 50 organically raised chicks. We will be creating a humane, clean and practical chicken production facility, grazing both milk cattle and beef and getting our seeds into the ground. Our only problem is that we have too many options and need to winnow them down!
We met last week with a group of “Gringos” (Expat North Americans and Europeans) in Panama City who want to work with us on the CSA project because they believe in what we are doing and because they want the food! So that makes Volcan, Boquete and Panama City as potential outlets for our Friendly Food Certified products. If you have the skills necessary to help make this happen, y’all come!
We are welcoming a potential participant tonight and will go to see the land that we would like to purchase for our community tomorrow. On Friday morning, he will visit the local International Baccalaureate k-12 school’s principal to see if that placement is right for his children.
We have already met with him and his delightful wife when we were in NJ for the Webinar and they would be wonderful additions to our community. We really hope they love it here!
Too funny, by the way: while Ralph and I did our weekly 2 hour radio show, the Dr. Rima Reports: Your Health, Your Way, www.TheFreedomLink.org, General Bert took our visitor to the hotel and had dinner with him. I learned when General Bert was on his way home that two men came up to him, introduced themselves and announced that they were looking for me because they had come to Panama to see the land and talk with us about becoming part of the Valley of the Moon Eco Demonstration Project. They are coming with us tomorrow to see the land! [We do prefer to hear from people in advance if they want to visit the VotM facilities.]
What truly impresses us are the level of natural-process skills the people interested in participating in the Project possess. We are truly honored that the Health Freedom community is responding so strongly to our effort to preserve and teach the natural skills and methods we all value.
There are several other people whom we met at the War Council event who we will be welcoming soon. Not only that, a participant, his wife and 3 pets are due next week in what we all believe is a permanent move here. He is an IT guy, she is a Certified Raw Chef!!!!!!! WOW! We look forward to their help developing the infrastructure for the Seminar (and Webinar) program we will be sponsoring from the Headquarters. We have a number of world-class experts in all areas of health and food ready to provide a superb educational program.
And, indeed, one of our brilliant friends: scholar, inventor, innovative nutritional provider and War Council presenter and his talented wife, are also coming into the project as full participants – and more, which we cannot talk about yet.
Following our meetings in NJ with potential Clinical Trial clients, we were about to come back to Panama immediately but, because of an opportunity to further the project in some remarkable ways, we changed our plans and went to Denver for a week.
There we met with, spent time with, and got a commitment from a remarkable man who has the potential to bring about large impact soil reclamation impacts with reduced effort.
He agreed to come to Panama to do a field test: we will select 5 farms at various altitudes which are highly contaminated with agricultural chemicals and do laboratory analysis on the quality of the soil, including the level of chemical contamination, the bacteria and other characteristics of the soil.
Following that, we will apply the technology he brings to the project to 1/2 of each of the 5 farms and re-analyze the soil. We will also document the crop growth characteristics on the treated and the untreated halves.
If the technologies prove useful, then we will offer to apply them to the entire country. This is potentially an experiment of global significance. But before we go forward with it on a large scale, we need, of course, to document the effects. I don’t know about you, but being part 0f this level of creative development and exploration is enormously gratifying and satisfying to the Trustees of the Natural Solutions Foundation and everyone else who is involved in what we are doing.
Since dairy is very important here, we will also apply the technologies to 5 cows whose milk output and characteristics are already well document and use another 5 cows as controls. Their output, milk solids, bacterial count and other output characteristics will be carefully documented following this application.
You can assume, and you would be totally correct, that this technology is entirely without negative consequences for humans, animals and the environment. Precisely like the medicine I practice, if it can harm, we would not do it. If it can help, we will. That is why, under the Precautionary Principle, we cannot support the release of GMO “foods” onto the market.

Congressman Burton’s Hearing on this topic: ” ‘In June, 1999, the Food and Drug Administration discovered that ‘Infants who receive thimerosal containing vaccine at several visits may be exposed to more mercury than recommended by Federal guidelines for total mercury exposure.’ Thimerisol, a preservative used in some vaccines to prevent contamination is 49.6% mercury by weight. Infants who are being vaccinated using multi-dose vials with thimerosal can receive 62.5 micrograms of mercury per visit. [Emphasis included in original]. For an average sized child this represents an exposure approximately 100 times the 0.1 micrograms per kilogram of daily exposure considered safe by the Environmental protection Agency. The manufacturers safety data sheet on thimerosal states, “Highly toxic….Danger of cumulative effects….Avoid prolonged or repeated exposure….and the Chemical, Physical and toxicological properties have not been thoroughly investigated.”
If the ill-informed and disinformed want to pump these toxins into their bodies, they are, as far as the Natural Solutions Foundation is concerned, welcome to make that tragic error.

The biosphere of Planet Earth is, like the banks, AIG and two of the Big Three Auto Makers, “Too Big to Fail”. Like those agencies, however, ill-informed, corrupt and intentionally dangerous policies are causing it to fail.
Mother [Earth] needs a “bailout” or she will go crashing down to her, and our, total demise.

One sector of the food agenda is particularly dangerous and the Natural Solutions Foundation is addressing it head on, as we do with every dangerous threat to our lives, health and freedom. That danger is Genetically Modified “Food”, also known as GMO or Biotech “food”.
This material is approved for use in the US food chain without any significant safety testing. In fact, even if an FDA regulator wanted to examine the safety of a GMO food, that is forbidden in the US following one brief, preliminary “report” provided by the company that is patenting the “food”.
Not unexpectedly, these preliminary reports all claim that the “food” is safe and is “substantially equivalent” to non GMO foods. No further questions are asked and the manufacturer or patent holder can insert his “food” into your bodies in the absence of any labeling. In fact, it is forbidden in the US to label even “GMO free foods!” Any labeling of GMO ingredients, as such, is outlawed because, as Barbara Schneeman, PhD, the US Codex Delegate, announced at a Codex meeting on labeling GMOs (Oslo, 2008), US consumers overwhelmingly reject GMO food when they know it is GMO. This is so although the FDA says that food and GMO food-substitutes are administratively equivalent. If Americans knew that more than 90% of their food was GMO, or contained GMO ingredients, they would overwhelmingly reject it. Therefore, in order to prevent them from making that mistake, the FDA forbids the labeling of GMO foods or ingredients so that they will not be able to reject what they should, actually, accept. Such is the “reasoning” of our regulators.
Not only is this bizarre and illegal (see, for example, the Supreme Court Decision in Thompson v. Western States, grounded in the Right of the People to Truthful Commercial Information) it is proof positive of collusion, yes, a conspiracy, to degrade our food and food options.
It is instructive to remember here that the Biotech/GMO companies are also pharmaceutical companies who make the drugs that you are prescribed when these dangerous “foods” make you sick, infertile or otherwise damaged. It is important to remember, too, that they are also the chemical companies that make the agricultural and other chemicals which are damaging and destroying your immune systems and enzymatic health. It is a classic triple play, but the winner is the one who creates the most profit, not the most well-being.
The success of a recent case in which Monsanto has lost, yet again, on appeal, to the forces seeking to protect both organic alfalfa farmers and the environment from the insect and wind-born contamination of Monsanto’s GMO alfalfa is of enormous importance.
In past years Monsanto seized hundreds of the remaining family farms because their GMO pollen has invaded – trespassed – on the fields of farmers growing the same or similar crops. The “laws” which they pressured and maybe bribed into existence make the farmer whose land was contaminated by their genetic material the villain in the piece and horrendous penalties are levied, leading to inevitable default and seizure of the family farm.
The result? More GMO land, fewer independent, clean farms and less clean food. And more contaminated – and contaminating – pollen on the insects and on the wind. Ultimately, more silent danger in your grocery store, unlabeled danger.
The Natural Solutions Foundation Action Item calling for a ban on GMOs, link, challenges every legislator in the US, every Governor, every Member of Congress, the Secretaries of Health and Human Services, the EPA, the US Department of Commerce and the US Department of Agriculture, as well as President Obama to protect the nation they are sworn to protect and defend by –
1. Declaring a total “Precautionary Principle Ban” on GMO crops and animals grown, used or incorporated into foods, medicines or crops in the United States, or imported into the country.
2. Initiating a 10 year research commitment to conduct and evaluate studies on the impact of GMOs that have been already unleashed on our environment at every level. The researchers must reveal all financial and other ties with GMO or related companies, even distantly related, and will, without exception, disqualify investigators and others from participation in this evaluation project.
Biotech companies have announced that they cannot control the spread of their patented genetic material into clean crops and wild-breeding animals (such as fish). They must therefore be held responsible for the imminent danger in which they have placed us all.
We Need Your Help!
The Trustees of the Natural Solutions Foundation are asking you to get ready to become dissemination points on the next vitally important battle.
Towards the end of the last Bush administration, even the catastrophically-high, permitted contamination level for organic foods, a whopping and shameful 10% (in contrast to the rest of the world’s permitted contamination level of either 0.09% or 0.1%!!!!!!) was revised to allow the current permitted level to “float” so that the limits are whatever is easy for industry – with no upper limit whatsoever. NONE!

Over time, the genetic drift will inevitably contaminate the entire world’s biosphere. Monsanto will then, under current legal standards, accomplish its goal: to own the world’s food supply.
Independent science is showing what we have been saying all along: GMOs are dangerous to our health, our fertility and our environment. Further, they are dangerous to our health freedom, the right to control what goes into our bodies.
It is a Globalist Agenda absurdity that holds that they are, in fact, “food” at all. GMOs are commercial properties but that does not make them fit for human consumption.
It is the judicial and regulatory corruption of pseudoscientific deceit standing in the muck of conflicted interest – heavily conflicted interest – by the companies which make and market the GMOs which allows them to be classified as fit for consumption by animals or humans, allows them in our environment or allows them to be patented.
Modern science makes it clear that there is no validity to the basis upon which those patents have been granted, which is the theory of “one gene, one function.” We know now that each gene can produce a wide variety of effects, depending on such factors as the genes in its vicinity and the nutritional surround in which the gene is functioning, whether its neighbors have been switched on or off, and a host of other factors. What is done with your body may pass “exogenes” to the next generation controlling its potential.
Indeed, part of the awesome dangers posed by GMO foods is that their inserted genes are not stable, moving from one location to another inside the nucleus into which they have been inserted and therefore creating novel proteins which –
a. Have never existed before on the planet or in any of its creatures
b. Are totally unknown in terms of short, or long, term biological impact on any aspect of health, fertility and longevity
c. Differ from cell to cell, leading to a shifting picture of “chimeras”, or genetic mosaic cells which are not identical to each other either in cell function or type even if they were all identical before their makeup was altered by the ingestion or incorporation of novel genetic material
d. Have no common enzymatic of functional blue print within the body because of the novel genes and their inconsistent activity.
Monsanto generally does not lose cases. Recently, though, courts have begun to understand the risks and an important 9th Circuit private property rights case that Monsanto lost is heading to the Supreme Court. IF the Supreme Court chooses to deal with the issue of wind and insect contamination of GMO crops (trespass on farmers’ property) this will be a milestone and a half toward safe, clean, unadulterated food. We need to follow up these outstanding events by pressing the advantage which this case gives us going forward.
Then there is the disastrous (sic) “Food Safety” bill, S. 510, held over from before Christmas Break. If passed, this bill will usher in a complete rout of the organic and clean food sectors of our food system. Reporting requirements and draconian penalties are so extreme that small farmers, unable to hire battalions of accountants and clerks will be driven out of business.

Our sources tell us that the principle architect of this loathsome excuse for legislation is, of course, Monsanto.

You may recall our federal law suit ended when the New York health care worker flu vaccine mandate itself was suspended for alleged lack of vaccines. No vaccines, no mandate; no mandate, no court case.

Well, they’re back! “Governor David A. Paterson today announced that the State Department of Health (DOH) is reinstating the requirement that hospitals offer the H1N1 flu vaccine to the caregivers of newborns in intensive care and hospital patients who are 65 years of age or older. The reinstated requirement was made possible by increased supplies of vaccine.”….
Meanwhile, the New Jersey licensed childcare attendance mandate has also come back into effect. NJ was the only other state-wide flu vaccine mandate in the US. It had also been suspended for alleged lack of supply (curiously just as we were seeking to amend the Complaint in the “Stop the Shot” case to include the NJ mandate). That suspension covered 2009, so in this new year a new annual flu vaccine requirement exists.
