The following is a general answer, sent to some Health Freedom Action eAlert members who had similar concerns:
A marketing company pays us to advertise their clients’ goods & services in mailings twice a week. We keep those mailings separate from our regular health freedom mailings, do not include our own news in them, and, while the advertiser will not advertise with us if we put the word “advertisement” at the top of the page, Dr. Rima writes a paragraph in them explaining that we carry these advertisements to offset the thousands of dollars that we need every month to send those hundreds of thousands of emails to Washington, maintain our sites, visit Congress, attend Codex meetings, etc..
We don’t have a fancy US activities office, and work from our homes (I am sitting at my kitchen table typing and have been doing so all night). Readers who do not like these advertisement mailings should simply trash them (takes three seconds), and keep the informational mailings, to have the information you need to take part in the Health & Food Freedom & Justice “Action Items” that let you easily tell decision makers your opinions, just by clicking your mouse a few times. Our informational emails always have “Dr. Rima Reports” in the subject line.
Without the money that we are paid to send those advertisements out, we would have to fold. Due to the state of the US economy, donations have declined significantly over the past several years. Since we are the largest health freedom organization and we generate more mail to Washington than all of the other health freedom groups combined, that would be terrible (though it would make the FDA very happy!).
The average organization (of our type) has a nine per cent opening rate for their emails. Our opening rate is quite high, at about fourteen per cent. If each person who opens our emails sent in just ten dollars a year, we could pay all of our expenses (we do not pay salaries and work with volunteers) and would not have to accept advertising. We have suggested that to our readers and a few dozen responded. I must presume that the thousands of others figured, “Let the others pay it for me”. We cannot personally afford to pay the expenses, which amount to many thousands per month. The company that sends the hundreds of thousands of emails from our eblasts out to the correct Representatives and other decision makers just increased their charges to us by about sixty per cent.
So, do we continue this important work and get the health freedom message out as well as generate hundreds of thousands of emails off to Washington every month?
Or, do we quit and go under?
We feel that accepting the money we receive for sending out the advertising to keep this work alive, is worth the “pain” of having to trash or deal with a few tacky ads each week. Some people like the ads and purchase from them.
Some hate them and tell us how horrified they are that we are sending them out. Frankly, I find it ridiculous to be horrified by an easily trashed ad, with all the REAL horror that is going on in the world and all that is happening to our health freedoms. One person suggested that we have “sold out” and that is nonsense.
When one sells out, one receives payment and then changes the message to please the “payer”. We have not changed any message and are fighting the Feds as hard as we ever have. Our problem is that while everyone writes and encourages us to continue the fight, everyone wants their neighbor to pay for it. And while money to us is tax-deductible, we
haven’t found an Angel to donate the needed funds.Then there are those who read or listen to those ads and think that they are articles by us, in spite of the fact that Dr. Rima includes a note denying same in each ad that goes out. They want the info in the ads and do not want to pay for it. We do not OWN that info and cannot give away what we do not own. We are simply paid to send ads out- we do not share in the profits of the items sold.
Several have written criticizing us for not “giving” them the info in the ads because they have “needs” (like none of the rest of us do!). I have been extremely sick in the past and spent years researching ways to get better. That took time and money (which I had little of). I would gladly have paid money for a book or video that would have answered my questions and saved me that time and money. But we would have to “steal” someone else’s hard work and research to “give away” what they are selling — and we are NOT thieves.
As for those complaining about the long winded audio ads, I agree- I can’t stand them and refuse to listen to them. (I trash them very quickly). The advertiser would have a much better chance of selling to me if he/she were more upfront and kept the advertisement short and sweet. But they hire “experts” to write their advertisements and so my opinion is not considered. When we get mail complaining about the way these ads are written, we do forward it to the Marketing Company.
At first we accepted only health related ads from the Marketing Company (and mostly from doctors we knew), and then we accepted a few ads about items that sounded like they might make peoples’ lives easier (such as the ad for the popular emergency radio). But we have learned that a couple of these items may be from questionable companies and will be dropping any questionable ads. We DO try to only accept ads for decent items, and Dr. Rima reviews health related advertisements before we send them.
I hope this answers any questions you might have about the advertisements. A few of you were so pained by the advertisements that you wanted “off” the list, rather than have to simply trash what you found offensive. But we are all in this together and your letters to Washington are needed. Can you put aside your sensitivities for the sake of preserving health freedom? It is important for each person to do his/her share or we will all find ourselves without supplements and depending on Monsanto for all of our groceries.
That is NOT exaggeration. Health Freedom is being hit from many directions by the Powers that Be. So those of you who choose to stick with us, thank you. And those of you who shudder at the ads, and thus, cannot do your part, let me know and I will remove you from our List. The company that maintains our list provides an “click-off” in our mailings, but if it does not work for you, let me know and i’ll remove you from the list by hand.

With increased pressure in recent months from official and semi-official agencies to again force health care workers to expose themselves and their patients to the uninsurable risks of vaccination, the New York group has increased its PUSH BACK as well. Planned for October 15, 2011, the NY advocates decided to bring the Health & Food Freedom & Justice message to those occupying Wall Street, #OWS. The Natural Solutions Foundation agreed to support the action to help educate decision makers about public opposition to forced vaccination. The trustees prepared a statement from the President of the Foundation, General Bert. The statement was to be read to the rally by Counsel Ralph, as he did for General Bert in 2008 at the End the Fed Rally, which was held near the scene of the current events. “War is not good for children or other living things…” said those who protested and resisted the Viet Nam war, at a time when I was commanding US Army intelligence units in the jungles of Viet Nam – and being doused with Agent Orange, because of which I subsequently developed three separate cancers, while my government denied they had harmed me – or the people of Viet Nam.
Today we are at war in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Libya, and, increasingly involved in expansive, and expensive, imperial entanglements around the world. But there is another war being waged against US, right here at home. “Trillions and trillions wasted…” as Dr. Ron Paul says.
There is another war being waged right now, right here in America and the rest of the world; it is not a war for territory or gold or oil: this is a war for EVERYTHING! Today I want to talk to you about intentional, carefully planned “genomicide”, the alteration of our very DNA so that it cannot support reproduction, health or, indeed, life itself. There are three genomicidal technologies which have the capacity to damage or destroy the genome – the DNA – of all life on earth which are the principle weapons in this war.
These technologies are also heavily subsidized and supported by the bought and paid for political leadership; they are the crony technologies which are, in truth, the Weapons of Mass Destruction which you and I must fear, and must eliminate:
Nuclear Power, Vaccines and other environmental toxins and the GMOs or genetically modified organisms.
These are the Technologies of Genomicide and they are, daily, without the sound of bombs bursting in air, without the rockets’ red glare, weaponizing the world against humanity – against you, and me and our children’s children, if there are any.
The genomicidal Weapons of Mass Destruction represent unthinkable, and, in fact, uninsurable risks to our entire world. That they are dangerous to children and other living things should be obvious to all thinking people.
Vaccines are the first threat to our children – even before they are born, now that our insane public policy is to demand that pregnant women receive vaccines! Vaccines must, MUST, be rejected by any caring, knowledgeable parent. Propaganda to the contrary not withstanding, injecting toxins into living organisms, adult, juvenile, infant or fetus, is quite literally insane. It is that simple. Although not defined as such, the reality is that doing so is child abuse. And adult abuse. And elder abuse (and, for those who are thinking about their pets, animal abuse as well!)
Vaccines have NEVER prevented or cured a single disease except the dreaded PPD, Pharmaceutical Poverty Disease. Let’s be clear: vaccines are a hoax, just as the safety of mercury or of squalene is a hoax. The “science” upon which vaccines rest is as corrupt as any pseudoscience has ever been. The health care impact of this pseudoscience is enormous. The risk-free profits are enormous.
The battle is joined. Your life and mine are under attack. Our freedoms, our survival, are literally at stake.
We demand an end to all mandated vaccines.
We demand unambiguous freedom to chose, or reject vaccines in our schools, our workplaces, in our lives, for ourselves and for our children.
We demand that the US Government and its political class, people like Gov. Rick Perry of Texas, stop supporting the voodoo “science” of vaccination and allow the People to take total control of their own health care decisions. NO MORE FORCED VACCINES! NO FORCED DRUGGING! NOW!
Nuclear Power, another of the Genomicidal technologies, is another unthinkably dangerous and uninsurable threat to our children. We mourn with the parents of Japan, faced as they are with the escalating dangers of the reactors that continue to spew forth in Fukushima and elsewhere, spreading death everywhere throughout this world. We mourn with them as they watch their children sicken and die, while their government tells them all is well… and the radiation mounts that will kill them AND their beloved children.
While the FDA tries to make nutritional supplements as unavailable as they are in the EU, taking away yet more options from you for your own health and health choices, Natural Solutions Foundation is moving in exactly the opposite direction – we know nutrition is a powerful tool for wellness and are using that tool in Japan.

At that time the Natural Solutions Foundation joined Dr. Ron Paul in warning of a pending economic crisis. That crisis is now upon us. It is a crisis created by political greed and wrong-headed economic policies.
We joined Ron Paul then calling for an end to the Federal Reserve System and a return to Constitutional Money. Those important monetary reforms are more necessary now than ever before. I urge you to become educated about Dr. Paul’s Monetary Reform Bills HR 1094, 1098 and 2768 and to help educate decision makers about them.
Yes, there is a war for, no let me correct that, AGAINST your minds and bodies. You are the front line troops in that undeclared but ultimately lethal war. It is a war where the perpetrators, the US ruling class of political cronies, claim all they need is more power over our lives and they will “save” us from the disasters their power has carefully unleashed upon us.
We reject that centralizing tyranny over our bodies, choices and minds. We reject the notion that only more power in the hands of Federal authorities will save us from the harms caused by amalgamated Corporate/Federal power.
As Dr. Paul says of the FDA, giving that agency more power over our Health and Food is giving it more “power to abuse.”
We call for the end to the abuse of power!
We call for an end to the excessive political power exercised by Wall Street and its corporate cronies in Washington.
We demand the restoration of the Constitutional Republic.
We declare sovereignty over our bodies and our lives, as the Constitution of these United States documents that we already have. And we declare an end to forced vaccination and drugging.
Our lives, the lives of our children and the survival of all living things depend on it!

What do health and food freedom mean to us when we say they are our First Freedom, but freedom is indivisible and everything that takes away one part of our freedom and personal sovereignty erodes, weakens and, as it is designed to do, destroys the rest?
What is freedom? What is food? What is health? What is your sovereignty?
It would be so easy for us to focus on being just another vaccine-information group, an autism-prevention-&-treatment group, an anti-GMO group, a don’t-build-any-more-nuke-reactors group, a no-electronic-surveillance group, etc…
We could be a group devoted to making sure we can all have raw milk. We could be a force to make sure that we have the right – no, that we can maintain the right that we already have, to learn about raw milk or cherries, or cranberries, or curing cancer with Vitamin C or whatever truly advanced health care has to offer.

But that would be a lot like trying to “cure” the ailment of a patient diagnosed with diabetes by taking blood sugar readings and giving, say, shots of insulin until the blood-sugar measurement is in a “normal” range and calling it a day at the allopathic office. Another case resolved…
You understand that the hypothetical patient I just made up has an endocrine disorder based in an auto immune attack based in a profound and possibly life threatening dis-regulation of various parts of the immune system and its function and that genetics, diet, environmental toxins, including vaccinations and other chronic poisoning have played a part in the development of what was diagnosed as the “disease” of diabetes.
You understand, too, that the small, medium and large blood vessels, the heart, the eyes, the kidneys and the nervous system are at daily risk of developing diagnosable diseases with separate names which are really all part of the same dysfunction.
It is the same with health and food freedom.
Do we satisfy ourselves by taking the allopathic path to simplistic “cut a-parts” and pretend we are curing the problem?
That is precisely the failure, the disaster and the shame of allopathic “medicine” – Let’s cut the patient up into specialties and reward each specialist for being as ignorant as possible about underlying causes, relationships, between the bits and pieces we have intellectually – and fiscally – cut the patient into, and just keep treating – and killing, piecemeal, shall we?
No. We will not. We cannot. We must not, you see, because we dare not.
Think about it this way: Civil disruption is used to bring troops onto American soil and to justify incarceration centers (Concentration camps) and protecting patients is used to justify mandatory vaccinations for which people who do not submit can be forced into those concentration camps because of resisting… A perfect circle of distortion and disturbingly Kafkaesque circumstances.
People who question the “safety” of their diets now have a new psychiatric “disease” (orthorexia) and can be forced to take mandatory “treatments” (forced drugging) which damage their brains and bodies and if they are deemed unfit to live with the remaining few of us can be forced into concentration camps or psychiatric prisons, guarded by those troops brought to American soil. If they refuse to vaccinate their children, they can lose not only their jobs, but custody of their children who can be forced to take those drugs and vaccines. Or, as in California, under a law signed by Gov. Jerry Brown, bribed to take the deadly shots without parental consent. At least in this case, “leftist” Brown and “rightest” Gov Perry of Texas (with his endorsement of forced vaccines) take the same sort of pro-vax stance that shows very little thinking on their parts.
And round and round we go…
Meanwhile, you are not permitted to know anything about the curative or health-promoting impact of any food or food derivative while your food is systematically poisoned through Codex and Corporate-State dicta and dictatorship behavior, but if you complain about it, or even think about it, you are a potential terrorist and we all know where YOU belong, don’t we! And certainly, don’t even think about thinking about what continues to spew into the air over Fukushima… and on the wind currents, to all North America, Europe and Asia…
Need I go on? As the Dr. Bronner’s bottles in your health food store says, “All one, all one…”
Freedom is indivisible. Health & Food Freedom & Justice, the right to chose, the right to grow, the right to use, the right to peruse, the right to HAVE rights that you do not have to fight for over and over and over again, they are all woven together.
So what is the focus we should be directing our efforts toward?
The only answer to that question has to rest with what you think the most important issues are. There are rather more than enough issues… but what is the best focus; where can we be the most effective given our resources?
We see the web of issue interconnectedness. If you do, please tell us so. If that does not make sense for you, please tell us what your issues are, what is most important to you and what you want the Natural Solutions Foundation to focus on for you so that you can reach out and take Action, bring others along and help keep health and food freedom truly, and perhaps, finally, once and for all, free.
One area where we think we can all put more focus is Social Networking… we just need to realize that, together, we have great PUSH BACK power!

Subject: FocusDr. Rima:
The Foundation is different things to different people, in part because some of us have a much greater stake in its fortunes. Specifically I am referring to the investment of our retirement savings in a share of what is hoped to be a sustainable community in the Chiriqui Highlands. It has now been nearly 3 years since hearing of the search for a large plot of land possibly exceeding 200 acres for intensive agriculture around a community of dwellings. It seems just when suitable property has been identified and an offer made the deal falls through. Has this happened perhaps half a dozen times by now?
Political, economic, sociological and ecological conditions continue “going south” figuratively speaking in the US of A, compelling more people to investigate moving south out of the country which has forsaken the values upon which it was founded. Understandably transitioning to a second world nation may involve some sacrifice of the creature comforts which the PTB use to lure people into accepting the gradual denigration of their liberty in what used to be a first class country. But everyone needs a roof over their head. That is fundamental … even more fundamental than locally-sourced food on the dinner table.
Which means that if priority is given to simply making plots available for building domiciles over acquisition of a much larger plot of land enabling full agricultural sustainability, a much greater selection of properties currently serviceable by paved streets should be available. I would imagine that the greatest single reason why the Foundation has not been able to been able to close the deal on the ideal property is that it is too much too soon in terms of matching resources currently available with properties for sale.
It is admirable to dream of stepping out of one’s front door directly onto a plot of land growing the food that will end up on the dinner table . But that dream may have to be deferred in order just to find some place for people to escape the every growing dosage of radiation from Fukushima. Another imperative to get something … anything … now is that the rush of Yanquis down to Boquete is inflating the real estate market of the entire region of Western Panama.
Using the food analogy, NSF-P should not try to “bite off more than it can chew” in terms of size and servicing requirements of the real estate. Why not estimate the cost of a plot sufficient just to provide housing + a small common area with garden and poultry facility for the current BIC holders. Acquisition will boost NSF-P’s credibility with the many folks “sitting on the fence”, holding off from purchasing BIC’s due to their uncertainty about what exactly they are buying into. The extra monies would, in turn be used to buy either adjacent plots of land or the big spread with a view towards relocating the core settlement, the prospective sale of which could be applied as collateral for either getting a loan or in the escrow for the big spread.
I should also mention in light of the recently passed U.S.-Panama Free Trade Agreement that the Foundation’s obligations to BIC holders, many of them U.S. citizens, should not be considered lightly. Other charitable endeavors to assist radiation victims as well as the continuing campaign to keep vaccinations at bay in the US of A are admirable; However with respect to BIC monies the Foundation’s obligations to the holders must be considered paramount.

The earthquake, tsunami and nuclear catastrophe at Fukushima, Japan was the site of truly horrid events in the Spring of 2011 creating the worst environmental disaster in the history of mankind. We have great news! The renowned radiation risk expert, Dr. Chris Busby, whose suggestion of creating nutrients designed to block radioactive molecules from binding to the DNA of children in Fukushima inspired me to create the Lollipops of Life, www.LollipopsofLife.org , www.ChildrenofFukushima.org , has agreed to work directly with us to distribute them to the children of Fukushima through his Japanese Foundation.

Meanwhile, actions by the Japanese government and others have been taken which makes the situation definitively worse. Burning contaminated material in open air, selling contaminated beef to schools all over Japan, moving contaminated soil to the south of Japan and other actions indicate that as bad as the situation was before the Japanese response to it, that situation has been made worse by that response. Indeed, discussing these issues in any way critical is now a criminal offense in Japan.
Either through collusion with that censorship or because the world mass media has gotten “tired” of the story, we do not hear, as we ought, every day, that Fukushima is an unparalleled threat to the survival of the human genome – and of humanity itself. And it starts with the Children of Fukushima.
