Two News Items

First – Monsanto v Bowman: The Supreme Court, led by Obama Appointee Justice Kagan, unanimously pays tribute to Monsanto, letting the biotech industry “patent” GMO life forms… and then making farmers pay if the owned life forms get into their fields and do what seeds do automatically, grow!

This is what is called “justice” in the Crony Corporate States of America. Kagan did admit that in this case, farmer Bowman intentionally scattered seeds he bought from third parties that he had reason to believe were patented, and the Supreme Court was leaving to another day other cases, for example, if unorganic patented GMO seeds that get onto, say, organic fields, without help from the farmer.

Will Monstanto have to pay for ruining those organic fields or will the Supreme Court change the definition of organic to suit the cronies?

Second – Vermont GMO Labeling Bill Passes the Legislature! At least one branch of that State still stands with it people, ready to put a big ‘Skull and Bones’ on GMO Labels: Congratulations, VT. Our gratitude for passing GMO Labeling Bill 99-42.

It’s no surprise that anti-GMO, pro-DNA sentiment runs strong in Vermont, as it does everywhere in the US, EU, India and elsewhere. What is surprising, and deeply heartening, is that the State Legislators in Vermont have followed the clearly expressed Will of the People and passed H. 112, a bill requiring GMO labeling. What remains, now, of course, is for the Governor of Vermont, Peter Shumlin, to sign the law.

Why would that be in doubt? Because the last time the will of the people on GMO labeling expressed itself, and the State legislators were ready to pass legislation requirng labeling of GMOs, Monsanto said, “I don’t THINK so!”, threatening to sue Vermont to bankrupt the state with the cost of the law suit.

The Governor caved. And now the Supreme Court has backed the claim that crony companies can “own” life forms.

Now the question is whether, with a bill not merely in the wings waiting to be enacted (like the last time), but actually passed by the House, Governor Shumlin will step up to the line, go toe to toe with Monsanto and Federal Power, and act to defy another attempt of Monsanto to become not only a company purveying its [damaging and deadly] genome disrupting wares including GMOs, Roundup (coffee), aspartame, dioxin and other monstrosities, but the de facto government.

Fascism, as defined by its modern creator, Benito Mussolini, is achieved when the interests of the Corporation become identical to those of the State.

Monstanto (and its ilk; “Monsanto” is merely symbolic of all crony corporatist corporations which are pretty much all equally horrific) is working hard to take over all relevant governmental policy-making decisions. Of course, the US, from the White House on down, is doing absolutely everything it can to help them in this take over. And Monsanto, rapidly becoming a corporation/quasi government, has neither shame nor, as far as I can tell, any ethical constraints whatsoever, other than the ethical constraint that its shareholders and executives are entitled to as much profit as inhumanly possible, regardless of the human or environmental cost. Or the genome cost.

No matter how it is wrung from populations, from the planet. No matter how. Even if the “novel proteins” to which they are subjecting us lead to Genome Disruption Syndrome and all the ills that entails.

General Bert has defined this battle, a skirmish of which is on the Governor’s desk, on several fronts, simultaneously.

Battle 1: Every consumer has the right to know what they are eating and then make the choices that make sense to them based on that knowledge. That is part of our right to associate together, including, of course, to trade with each other. Those of us who take our ability to safeguard our bodies and genome seriously will, of course, avoid ANYTHING that contains GMOs as if it could kill us. Because it can. And does. Cancer. Leukemia. Neurological diseases. Infertility. Sterility. Auto-immune diseases. Compromised immunity. Reduced organ function.

Battle 2. Monsanto’s market share will collapse when consumer can avoid GMO-tainted PHUDE. Your purchase choices are more powerful than any crony wants to think about.

Battle 3. When Governor Shumlin signs this bill it will demarcate the difference between a corporation’s interest and those of the State more clearly than any other government has done in the recent political past. This line must be drawn and widened if we are to avoid collapsing into fascism.

This is a battle to overcome the Genome-Destroying technologies identified by General Bert, including, of course, GMOs.

Battle 4. Controlling your food and water totally is one of the major tools of enslavement which Agenda 21 is maneouvering into place. Monsanto is one of its primary bad actors, as we all understand. Making it clear to Monsanto that it will fail in taking over the food policy of one State after another, starting with Vermont, is a powerful forward surge for health freedom. Such successes provide leadership and strength for all of us.

Battle 5.The long haul battle to reclaim our freedom, our government and our genetic health has just begun. Monsanto, Syngenta, Du Pont Crop Sciences, Pfeizer, etc., are not simply going away. The battle requires persistence, commitment and resources.
