Sacred Food to Heal the Soul

Today was a rough day: a friend and supporter turned on us without, as far as we could tell, any logical reason to do so. Devastating. Enraging. Shocking. Not unfamiliar. But so disappointing that, ultimately, I could not sit at my computer and continue working without a break and a breather.

Since it was dinner time we had the choice: cook or go out. I was in no mood to cook. I wanted a diversion and I wanted it to taste really, really good.
.
I looked online and found Boragó in Vitacura Country, Santiago. #58 of 3,570 Places to Eat in Santiago according to TripAdvisor.
.
Ok, good enough and pretty close by.
.
Boragó refreshed my soul, but not because it is a stunning restaurant, or because it is elegant and stylish, immaculate and creative in its decor, not because its bilingual staff uniformly provided a level of courtesy and attention almost otherwise non existant.
.
No, Boragó refreshed my soul because it is abundantly clear that Owner-Chef Rodolfo Guzman has a mission. Everything we ate was from one part of this country, Chile, or another. Everything was hand gathered from the sea, the forest or the desert. This food was organic, wild crafted and meticulous. Everything was presented with attention to its relationship to the environment and the diner’s relationship to the food that ties him/her to the earth, setting fantasy and pleasure centers free to soar while the planet is gently reaped for its sustainability and our sustenance.
.
In short, the 10 course tasting menu, which was served with a perfectly prepared sip of one astonishing fresh juice or another (we do not drink alcoholic beverages, so that was more than perfect for us) melded and surprised our palates as the tiny portions of the philosophical and culinary fest rolled on.
.
Rodolfo left this evening before we arrived, but his deep philosophy and presence lingered in the inspired statement of commitment to the sacred triad of the food, our home and those fed.

.
There was harmonious music in that food, I promise you. There was philosophy and art and science and, most of all, joy. Zinging, swinging, brash and tender joy, pure and simple.
.
No, I do not want to eat such perfection at such leisure and cost every day. It would waste precious resources and dull my keen appreciation for the marvel of this kind of extraordinary dining.
.
Do I strive to capture the wonder, awe and the appreciation for the bounty and beauty of our food, when it is clean, unadulterated, un-tampered-with in every bite of every bit of food I take in? Yes, most certainly; and with appreciation.
.
I commend to you a sense of the sacred in your intake every day, for a bit of rapture in your meal time spice kit.
.
And I commend Boragó, a restaurant with an inspired, and inspiring soul when you are in Santiago.
.
Real food is sacred soul food. And real food heals more than just the soul.

Once again*, the bought-and-paid Congress of the United Pharmaceutical States of Amerika seeks to punish Americans and their State Governments for respecting International Law and supporting the basic human right to Informed Consent.

Sen. Christopher Murphy of Connecticut, forgetting the first rule of humane health care (“Do No Harm”) and serving his Drug Company Masters, has introduced a bill, S-1921, which aids and abets those State politicians who seek to abrogate our philosophical and religious conscientious objections to forced vaccination by financially punishing States that do not unconstitutionally burden our right to Informed Consent.**

The very language of the bill*** makes it clear that its title, “Vaccinate America’s Children through Complete Information & Education Act of 2015” is a lie.
.
There will be no “complete” information provided. There will be only false propaganda that:

“shall discuss the consequences of nonvaccination with the child’s pediatrician…” and  “discusses the risks of nonvaccination…”
.
Note that the risks of vaccination and the consequences of vaccination are not to be discussed.
.
The essence of “Informed Consent” is to be INFORMED. Laws that mandate only some information do not inform; they propagandize. They violate the First Amendment injunction against Congress making any law violating Free Speech.
.
The US Supreme Court agrees with all humane physicians, vaccination is “unavoidably unsafe…”****

So who will tell the parents about the risks of this uninsurable and unsafe medical intervention?

A BILL
To amend title XIX of the Social Security Act to encourage States to adopt administrative procedures with respect to nonmedical exemptions for State immunization requirements.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the “Vaccinate America’s Children through Complete Information & Education Act of 2015”.

“(h) Administrative Procedures For Granting Nonmedical Exemptions.—

“(1) CERTIFICATION OF ADOPTION OF PROCEDURES.—

“(A) IN GENERAL.—A State program under this section does not comply with the requirements of this section unless the State certifies to the Secretary that the State has established administrative procedures for granting nonmedical exemptions from State immunization requirements (as defined in subparagraph (B)) that include at least 2 of the prerequisites described in paragraph (2).

“(B) NONMEDICAL EXEMPTION FROM STATE IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENT.—For purposes of this subsection, the term ‘nonmedical exemption from State immunization requirements’ means any exemption from a State law that requires a child to receive a pediatric vaccine (including school immunization requirements) that is not based on a medical reason.

“(2) NONMEDICAL EXEMPTION PREREQUISITES.—The prerequisites for granting a nonmedical exemption from State immunization requirements described in this paragraph are the following:

“(A) The State requires that prior to the exemption being granted, a parent or guardian seeking a nonmedical exemption from State immunization requirements for a child shall discuss the consequences of nonvaccination with the child’s pediatrician or other primary care provider and that the discussion is noted in the child’s medical record.

“(B) The State requires that prior to the exemption being granted, a parent or guardian seeking a nonmedical exemption from State immunization requirements for a child read and sign a form that discusses the risks of nonvaccination and submits the form to the State.

“(C) The State requires that prior to the exemption being granted, a parent or guardian seeking a nonmedical exemption from State immunization requirements for a child submits to the State a notarized letter describing the parent’s or guardian’s reasons for seeking the exemption.

“(D) The State requires that all nonmedical exemptions from State immunization requirements shall only be granted for a 1-year period and shall be required to be renewed annually if a parent or guardian of a child wants the exemption to continue for another year.
