Imagine a world in which you could not communicate with the people you trust. Imagine a world where some unknown “they” have the power to penetrate high level corporate privacy controls to steal not just one of your private passwords, but four of them! We have experienced prior, more limited attacks in the past, so we were somewhat prepared when we were hit this time. Though it is always true that you are never prepared enough for an attack, especially one of this magnitude Nonetheless, after a couple days, most of our Internet functionality was back. Several weeks later, some links still remain to be repaired. If you have been inconvenienced by these Internet hiccoughs, please forgive us and hang in there. But the important thing is what happens next: it is not enough to recover. Like Molly Brown we are unsinkable!
We are committed to not only returning to where we were, but to use this horrible episode to teach us how to generate an even more powerful Internet voice than we had before.
Before the attack, we had developed a special, private email communication system which was also cancelled, with every person on it deleted.
Although your names were deleted, they were deleted in bulk and no data was compromised. Now that we discovered the damage and have repaired it, we are resuming these special email messages so we can continue to bring our core supporter base the most up to date information.
For example, while the Media of Mass Deception wants you to forget about Fukushima, we know that you need continuing information about it. You didn’t think the broken reactors would cease spewing for the Holidays, did you? See the note below about continuing radiation risks.
